Painting has been Green Valley artist, Ginny Wing's passion for more than 30 years. Ginny was born in the Cascade mountains of eastern Washington and raised in Bisbee and Jerome, Arizona. She now lives part time in Iowa.
Wing's pastel paintings are recognizable compositions of the local Santa Rita mountains, Tubac and the surrounding Sonoran desert. She takes photographs and sketches to capture certain visual qualities, mainly the skies and intense colors found here in the Southwest. Many of her paintings are done on black paper, adding evening effect to the work.
