ADRIENNE QUINN
Due to a childhood that included many moves from school to school, I spent a lot of my time in the solitary pursuit of drawing. In high school I won three scholastic art awards and the privilege of creating a large mural for my school library. While still a student I earned money painting murals in restaurants and public places. My working years were successful. There was time spent in an advertising agency, the publication of a weekly newspaper and three books, TV and radio appearances, and numerous workshops. For many years I was advertising and marketing director for the leading home furnishings store in the Northwest. When I retired I moved to Kanab Utah and began painting in earnest. During this time I was represented by the Sunrise Gallery in Page, Arizona. After relocating to Green Valley, I became active in several organizations, entered numerous shows, began teaching, and started exhibiting my work through Desert Artisans' Gallery in Tucson and Otero Gallery in Tubac, Arizona. I've studied with Xiaogang Zhu, China's premier gouache artist, Susan Diehl, Russian impressionistic artist who is skilled in oils, and Eric Wiegardt, watercolorist. My work has appeared in juried shows, won awards, and can be found in private collections. My paintings, prints and cards are currently being shown at Feminine Mystique Art Gallery in Tubac. |
