It seems that I have been fascinated with and drawn to, color ever since I was a young girl growing up in the rolling farm country of Wisconsin. When I had occasion to participate in some art therapy sessions as an adult, I was encouraged to pursue some artistic endeavors. I started out working with silk and dry floral arrangements, did some ceramics for a short period, then progressed to painting with acrylics. Several years passed, as I had set aside my art. Upon relocating to Tucson in 2000, I found inspiration again in the mountain-ringed desert and encouragement in the artistic venues and opportunities available here.

It truly is an inestimable privilege to participate in the creation of art. I thank God for the tremendous capacity to see, feel and appreciate the beauty of color and form; and for the gift of artistic talent with which to express myself. Painting and creating art has been one of the ways God continues to bring healing to my soul. It is my hope that my art, as a celebration of life, will be a blessing to all who experience it.
